Laura Mondiello: Biography


She graduated with the rank of Soloist (Solistendiplom) at the Musik-Akademie in Basel, High School Improvement, after graduating from the Conservatory of Benevento. During these years she attended master classes in Italy and Europe held by Julian Bream, Oscar Ghiglia, Angelo Gilardino, Jose Tomas, Stefano Grondona, Hopkinsons Smith, Manuel Barrueco, Paul Galbraith. Winner of a scholarship during the annual courses of improvement of Conegliano Veneto, held by Stefano Grondona. She received for three consecutive years the Diploma of Merit award for Outstanding Scholarship "Emma Context" and "Xavier Boccardi" during the courses organized by the Academy Chigiana and she was subsequently invited to collaborate with the Orchestra of the city of Pisa directed by Alessandro Pinzauti, and with the Chamber Orchestra of Siena in conducting courses taught by Gianluigi Gelmetti. Winning the international competition "Golden Palm" of Finale Ligure. Second prize at the XXV International Competition "Meetings of Gargnano guitar. She has performed as a soloist for major institutions such as St. John's College, Cambridge for the concerts in the Master's Lodge; International Music Festival in Riva Riva del Garda Festival of Nations, Asolo Musica, Accademia Chigiana, Siena, The International Press Center of the Roman Guitar , Rome, Palazzo Mercantile, Bolzano; Académie musicale de Montbozon, France; Festival "Tribute to Rome, Teatro Flavius Vespasian, Rieti, Teatro Comunale di Ferrara and again for the Teatro di Pisa, Teatro del Giglio in Lucca, Teatro Sociale Mantua, Teatro renewals of Siena, Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna for the exhibition "Project for the Opera."

Among the last major commitments the concert "Tribute to Segovia" for the International Festival Euro Mediterraneo Villa Adriana, Tivoli. She teaches music and guitar from 1990. She got more detailed study concerning the Fenomenolgia of music as a search key of the relationship between man and elementary sound, at the 'Ass des musiciens pour la permanence et l'héritage musical de Sergiu Celibidache, Gy, (France) under the direction of Konrad von Abel.
